Our Story

A designer’s guide to banner makers

We test the tools so your next banner starts on the right artboard.

Banners Made Easy is an independent guide to online banner maker tools — social media banner creators, website and web banner editors, display ad builders, and template libraries — written to help you pick the right one quickly.

Why we started

Choosing a banner maker is oddly hard. Every tool claims to be the fastest, the most flexible, and the most template-rich all at once. Marketing pages blur together, review sites bury the useful parts under affiliate buttons, and the free tiers hide their watermarks and export limits until you hit them. We wanted a resource that reads like a designer’s notes: clear, opinionated, and grounded in actually building banners in these tools.

How we work

We spend real time in each tool and write it up plainly. For every maker we look at the same practical things that decide whether a banner ships on deadline: how approachable the editor is, how deep and usable the template library is, what the free tier actually includes, the quality of royalty-free images and fonts, resizing across formats, background removal, animation and HTML5 output for display ads, and export quality at full resolution. Our comparisons and reviews are editorial opinions, not scores from a lab — we tell you what we’d reach for and why, and where each tool trades off against the others.

How we stay independent

Our recommendations are our own. No tool can pay for a better write-up or a higher spot in a list. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up through them — at no extra cost to you. That never changes which tools we recommend or what we say about them.

Who it’s for

Independent creators, marketers, social media managers, small-business owners, and anyone turning a rough idea into a polished banner — whether it lives as a social header, a website hero strip, or a display ad running across a network.
